Sir has been in active legal practice for more than 32 years. His practice is principally focused on criminal litigation and includes trials, appeals, revisions, proceedings involving economic offences, financial crimes, matrimonial disputes and matters involving specialised investigative agencies.

 

He has served as Special Public Prosecutor in matters involving the Enforcement Directorate and has been involved in proceedings concerning economic offences, criminal investigations and related litigation. His experience extends to trial courts, appellate courts and specialised tribunals, where he has appeared in matters across various stages of criminal and related proceedings.

He has a keen interest in risk assessment and mitigation. Dispute resolution being the core area of our practice, he ensures that the team is dedicated to executing workable solutions instead of prolonged or protracted litigation.

PRIYANKA AGARWAL

Advocate

Priyanka Agarwal's areas of practice include criminal litigation, commercial and corporate dispute resolution, constitutional law, matrimonial matters, civil litigation and appellate proceedings across courts and tribunals. A substantial part of her practice involves criminal litigation, including trials, revisions, appeals, bail proceedings, proceedings invoking the constitutional and inherent jurisdiction of superior courts, and matters involving economic offences and related disputes. She also appears in commercial and corporate disputes, including contractual disputes, recovery proceedings, business and partnership disputes, real estate disputes and other commercial litigation. Her practice also includes matrimonial litigation and civil disputes.

She has been led proceedings relating to the regulation of school fees across educational institutions in West Bengal during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the litigation concerning the implementation and applicability of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 in West Bengal. She has been actively involved in constitutional challenges concerning the marital rape exception, matters involving religious institutions and proceedings connected with the Sabarimala reference. She maintains an enduring interest in legal research on developments in constitutional, criminal, commercial and technology law.
